When the life of schools, and other human services for children, is politicized - the temptation to report "half of the findings" in research surfaces - power becomes more important than the children. Children in families who use Social Services are most at risk, therefore these children should receive the best our culture has to offer. In the hope that adults can take action to make things better for our future which lives in the children, I want to go into the propaganda about what early childhood intervention means, and talk about the lost facts. One example would be a report from Head Start that children who worked with parents did not do any better in K and lst grade than students who worked in a pre school. This was what was reported to the public. What was left out of the report was the fact that, in the higher grades and in LIFE the students who worked with parents did much better. "Where love rules, there is no will to power!" ( CG Jung).
